  • Brown Hills Lane, Redmires: Barnacle Goose - 2 - In fields with Greylag Geese
  • Canklow: House Sparrow - 12 - to garden feeders
  • Green Moor: Pink-footed Goose - 50 - c50 flew SW at 08:11 ; Little Owl - 1 ; Brambling - 1 ; Tree Sparrow - 1
  • Kimberworth Park: Grey Heron - 1 - low, S over Roughwood Road and Roughwood School
  • Richmond Park, Sheffield: Red Kite - 1 - Floating high, heading east at 10:54
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Great White Egret - 1 - still present ; Green Woodpecker - 1 - seen or heard around site every day in October

  • Peat Pits: Red Kite - 1 - circling low over fields to north of Onesmoor Road
  • R Don, Effingham St: Mute Swan - 3 - colour ringed bird on river, ad and imm flew downriver. ; Little Egret - 1 ; Cormorant - 5 - 4 on roof, 1 on weir.
  • R Don, Norfolk Bridge: CASPIAN GULL - 2 - 1 - 1st winter. 1 - 2nd winter, showing both P10 mirrors in contrast to the other 2nd w which has a damaged P10. ; CASPIAN GULL - 2 - second winter on Warren Street roof, first winter on the weir.
  • Scholes Ground: Siskin - 4+ - feeding in Alders with Goldfinches, moving through shrubs to drink at waters edge ; Goldfinch - 20+
